Few days ago one of my students wrote a list about the best way to learn Italian. I totally agree with him and so I would like today to share with you this list providing you together the English version.

ITALIAN => ENGLISH
Pensa in italiano. => Think in Italian.
Non usare il dizionario a meno che non sia strettamente necessario.  => Do not use the dictionary unless it is really necessary.
Parla in italiano tutte le volte che puoi.  => Speak Italian as often as you can.
Leggi giornali o riviste che ti interessano in italiano.  => Read in Italian newspapers or magazines that are interesting for you.
Guarda film in italiano.  => Watch Italian movies.
Se puoi, impara l’italiano sul posto ed entra in contatto con la vita reale del Paese.  => If you can, learn Italian in place and get in touch with the real life of the country.
Frequenta gli italiani.  => Meet Italian people.
VIAGGIA SPESSO.  => TRAVEL OFTEN.
AMA IL MONDO.  => LOVE THE WORLD.

I think they are some of the best ways to learn Italian.

Now I would like to add some more ways to get this result. For example:

    1. When possible, don’t use the dictionary but try to get the meaning of the sentence using your intuition.
      (In Italian: “Quando possibile, non usare il dizionario,ma cerca di comprendere il significato general della frase in modo intuitivo).
    2. Don’t be afraid to speak or to make mistakes. Learning is a process that needs also of your mistakes to progress 😉
      (In Italian: “Non avere paura di parlare o di fare errori. L’apprendimento è un processo che ha bisogno anche dei tuoi errori per progredire ;-)” )
    3. Don’t loose the continuity when you are studying and always try to reserve a quality time for your learning.
      (In Italian: “Non perdete la continuità e cercate sempre di riservare del tempo di qualità per l’apprendimento della lingua”).
